Baking 101 Class Photos

Baking 101 has always been a popular class in EL. This year we just finished our first batch and they really had loads of fun baking and eating!

Our 8-day Baking 101 Course consisted of the following:

Day 1: Cookies and Bars (Cream Cheese Brownies, Triple Chocolate Cookies and Blueberry Cookies with Streusel

Day 2: Pastries (Pate a choux, Cream Puff Almond Nougatine, Chocolate Eclair, Churros con Chocolate)

Day 3: Pies, Quiche and Tarts (Apple Jalousie or Apple Streudel, Spinach and Mushroom Quiche and Dark Chocolate Tart)

Day 4: Cakes (Devil’s Food Cake with Fudge Frosting, Rum and Raisin Pound Cake with a Brown Butter Glaze, Lemon Cupcakes with Buttercream Frosting)

Day 5: Restaurant Desserts (PREPARATION of: Baked NY Style Cheesecake, Frangipane Tarts: Almond Filling with glazed fruits and Flourless Chocolate Cake

Day 6: Plated Desserts (Cheesecake with Raspberry Coulis, Flourless Chocolate Cake with Creme Anglaise, Fresh Strawberries and Chocolate Garnish and Frangipane Tart with Chocolate Sauce)

Day 7: Breakfast Pastries (Glazed Doughnut, Cheese Scones, Pan de Sal, Cinnamon Rolls)
